Match Day!

Amy and I have received our referral for our little girl! Words can't express the excitement we feel in looking forward to travelling to China to adopt her and bring her home.

Here is the information we have, along with a graphic showing the rough location of the province and orphanage in China.

Her Chinese name, given by the workers at the orphanage, is Ning Chun Na. She was born on April 5, 2004, and is currently 9 months old.

According to the translator at our agency, Chun means "spring" and Na means "pretty." The surname Ning comes from the city of Ningdu, the site of the orphanage, in the province of Jiangxi. We will travel to the capital of that province, Nanchang, to adopt her. Both cities are indicated on the map below.

If you would like to see her picture, please email me.

Alan gave us the great news, but didn't forward the picture. We would love to see her.

CONGRATULATIONS! I am so very excited for the two of you! What a complete blessing. I would love to see a picture of this beautiful child of God that you will be receiving. Just think, she had already been born when we were over in China, now you get to bring her home! Be Blessed!!

Congratulations. How wonderful for you!!! I look forward to reading the updates and rejoicing with you when you bring your daughter home.

We recently became acquaintances with a couple who are in Russia right now getting their little boy to bring back home with them. I got to go to this couple's baby shower, and it was so sweet to see the anticipation of the adopting mom. I imagine you are having much the same feelings as this couple.

God's richest blessing on you and your growing family!

I couldn't help but comment on the earlier fortune cookie entry...but I have to do it here, since the site won't let me post on that comment. You realize, of course, there's always the possibility that both of those are not accurate translations of the Chinese below. It just as well could be something along the lines of, "Dumb American eat cat and not know it!!!".... Okay, never mind. *grin* I'm so excited about Sydney!!! You guys want free babysitting??

Actually, Kari, that was not Chinese writing, but lottery numbers that I fuzzed out in PhotoShop...
